David is a knowledgeable, patient practitioner who is committed to giving you the best therapy experience available, whether online or in-person.

I am not new to helping people. For the past twenty years, I have been coaching in another realm, and I am acutely familiar with active listening, compassion and acceptance. Under my practice, you will find a sympathetic ear that can bring insight into your situation and find solutions that are practical.

Many years ago I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After finding the world of coaching, I spent two decades working with people in groups and one on one, setting plans and helping them move forward from special conditions and injuries. My credentials include certifications in biomechanics, neurophysiology and expert program design. I've also facilitated workshops and taught courses in multiple disciplines for other trainers and corporate groups since 2005.

My diploma in Applied Psychology comes from the Kelowna College of Professional Counseling with a specialization in Direct Counseling. Currently, I am registered as a candidate with the Canadian Professional Counselors Association, working on my supervised hours with Master Practitioner Margo North. This intensive program gave me an extensive background in all methods of talk therapy. I have a particular interest in somatic therapy and neurophysical applications, pursuing additional education in EMDR, Brainspotting and cutting-edge addiction and PTSD therapies.

As someone with over 20,000 hours of practical one-on-one experience, I know that I can help you with whatever mental health situation you may need assistance working through.

Areas of specialty include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Male Therapy and Men's Issues

  • Sexual Therapy and Alternative Lifestyles

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Relationships and Couples Counseling

  • Addiction Therapy

  • Business Coaching and Career Counseling

I am always learning, and currently I'm taking certification in Screen Addiction for Youth and Adolescents and will soon be certified in Brainspotting, a recent somatic therapy that is incredibly effective for stress and trauma.

Feel free to reach out to me for a free 20-minute call or video chat to discuss your situation. Even if I am not the provider for you, I can often match you with someone who would be better suited.
